Custom Designed RFID Solutions

RFID for Employee Access Control & Time Attendance

The installed systems were created to provide a basic RFID access control and time-attendance management system with nodal visibility. This basic RFID access control system is engineered to be expandable and upgradeable. The system can be scaled upward and fully integrated with our other products to provide real-time visibility for emergency and evacuation management no matter how large your organization grows. Jamjoom Consult's corporate head office in Jeddah took advantage of the Personnel and Assets Visibility System which represents the state-of-the-art access control management solution. It incorporates the patented and patent-pending RFID access control system technologies of dynamic signal strength and passive RFID personnel badges.  This is a combination of daily nodal local access controls and monitoring at low signal strength with “on-demand” and “upon-command” high signal strength for a real-time locating system that enhances emergency and evacuation management. The traditional short-range secure access control passive RFID card is embedded in the access card along with a traditional access card reader for a traditional access control system application using the industrial standard of Wiegand communication protocol. Jamjoom Consult was satisfied by the extracted report to avoid misjudging employees' attendance and the manual labor that is usually done.

RFID for Assets Tracking – Tahakom

Traditionally, Tahakom tracked its assets through physical inventory, which requires human data input onto an excel sheet to show assets found in incorrect locations or missing assets. Tahakom faced issues in reading barcode labels which are prone to human error.   There was no proper automated asset tracking system to track these assets and their location. Furthermore, physical inventory becomes very challenging for some equipment residing in restricted and remote areas. The purpose of the RFID Capital Assets solution project is to provide Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) based asset tracking solution throughout Tahakom sites/facilities utilizing which can potentially integrate their existing SAP/ERP solution.  The project can retrieve the asset EPC which was originally linked with the barcode asset number upon registering the RFID Tag – the data is then interfaced to their current EWM SAP Module.  This provided automation & accuracy and timeliness of asset inventory, proper asset tracking, and asset location on a real-time basis.  The installed mobile UHF RFID Solution provides an accurate record of the asset life cycle, maintenance, relocation, transfer & retirement. At this point, the system will provide workflows & alerts for all related entities. The solution components delivered by Makamat are RFID On metal hard tags and Label Tags RFID Printers to print and encode on-metal labels RFID Encoders to encode hard on metal Tags RFID Handhelds and Sled Units to read all types of tags Makamat interface to locate assets and upload all information to a central hub

RFID for Infant and Pediatrics Patients Safety & Tracking – Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare

At the Dhahran Health Center, Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare Co. awarded Makamat to supply, install and commission the Infant and pediatric safety solution.  Patients are assigned an active RFID tag — attached wearable bands that easily adjust to the growth of newborns and fussy toddlers.  Parents can be assigned a Mother Tag that the system uses to generate an alarm if an infant is given to the wrong parent. Patients with an RFID tag can be instantly detected at exit doors, stairwells, and elevators, and their presence can be configured to enable alarms and secure doors. The solution uses CADI Scientific infrastructure hardware and enterprise software to identify tags, manage tag rules, activate alarms, and control doors.

RFID for Infant Safety - King Faisal Medical Complex Taif

The Maternity and OB/GYN Hospital at King Faisal Medical Complex in Taif, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has equipped its facility with Cadi SmartSense Infant Safety System.  The new implementation aims to provide features that help to improve workflow and enhance patient safety. In addition to infant-mother matching, the new system from Singapore also automatically matches the infant to its correct bassinet at all times. With this system in place, all new infants will be under protection from birth.  Upon delivery, all new infants are comfortably fitted with the tamper-proof infant tag using hypo-allergenic safety bands on their ankles. At the same time, their mothers will wear the matching mother’s tag using a hospital wristband. The child's assigned bassinet will be tagged with the matching cot tag. This is all done in the delivery room. The system automatically performs matching verification when the tags are near to reduce nurses’ workload ensuring the right infant stays with the right bassinet and is brought to his/her correct parent at all times. SmartSense Infant Safety software monitoring dashboards installed at the nursing stations and security posts will display the real-time status of the infants and their real-time locations. Other than mismatch alerts, security alerts will also be sounded and displayed on the monitoring dashboards if any infant strap is cut, or any infant tag is removed from the infant's ankle. or when the infant is transported out of any unauthorized exit. Coupled with SmartNodes and alert beacons installed in the entire hospital facility, real-time sound, and visual security alarms when an infant is detected at unauthorized exits further protect the infants at all times, giving their parents complete peace of mind.

RFID For Spart Parts Cycle Count and Warehouse Management

Major RFID Solution highlights include Increased Efficiency throughout the Supply Chain The RFID gates or handheld readers reduce manual labor, which increases the speed of production and keeps the parts easily  trackable throughout the supply chain. Large quantities of parts are read and documented within milliseconds using RFID. Enhanced Accuracy of Inventory Scanning The RFID scanning process reduces the mistakes made compared with tracking inventory manually with the barcode.  For example, when someone does several identification checks on one component.          Tracking Item Location It is easier to track parts using RFID. For example, if a box is left in the wrong location in the warehouse, the box can easily be  found when you move an RFID reader device within the range of the tag.  This is much more efficient compared to a physical search for lost items. RFID eliminates the necessity of being in the line of sight with each separate item barcode, therefore reducing wasted man-hours. RFID labels on automotive parts provide end-to-end inventory and item tracking solutions for increased accuracy, visibility, and efficiency.  Makamat continues to meet these demands and any other customer requirements to secure an effective and innovative future.
